I was very busy doing other things beside the the internet. but I will have a new one on this week's 50th anniversary of Walt Disney Records. I guess this week, the album will feature the story of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", another story from the Disney Princess. I will give you these pics before I will give you an MP3 file of the story so that I will be post it on the "Disney Juke Box" board. Here are the album covers. The first one I believe was from 1957 and it was told by MMC's own Annette Funicello. I could not find a cover of a 1957 LP but will see what happens. I've never listen to Annette narrated the story before. When that album was re-released three years later in 1960 as a "Magic Mirror" die-cut cover, Ginny Tyler took over Annette to eliminate her narration. Ginny was later narrated the story of "Snow White" after she was took over. The original version with Annette is so rare. Here is the pic from 1960. The same album was released again in 1962. Its has a full-color booklet. Back then it was 24 pages and the, the page was decreased by 11 pages filled with shots from the film with just the illustration. The front cover. The inside page. The 1969 album cover does it again. I used to have one since I was a kid. In the early 80's, they have this cover. He is the pic of the label. I know you fans would love to listen to the complete story of "Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs". This was taken from a record. I will give you an MP3 file courtesy of Yousendit. If you have any thoughts about the story you have just heard, please post your response and tell us about it. Enjoy! We have a 1957 Disney Snow White record, jacket, and booklet. There is a minor scratch on one side of the album. Annette Funicello is the narrator. A better tracking turntable would probably eliminate the one skip we heard when we played it. Being the 50th anniversary of the album, this should generate a renewed interest. Does anyone know a knowledgeable appraiser who could help us determine the value of this piece of memorabilia?
